It seems you get noticably better quality games and apps for your iPhone if you’re willing to try the apps where you pay a few dollars for them, but it doesn’t mean you can’t have a lot of fun for free. There hasn’t really been any good 3D games available for free, but now there’s Bii Ball Lite. The lite version of course is really just a demo of the full version, but you get enough in the demo to keep you occupied for a little while. And the full version is only a dollar or so.

The graphics are indeed sweet, and the reaction to rotating the phone is very smooth and quick. Check it out here: (It’s a shame they don’t let you hear the sound effects in the video, that’s actually one of the best bits of the game.)
