T3, the UK’s top gadget site, has reported that iPhone’s new firmware 1.1.2 will break the TIFF exploit used to jailbreak the iPhone 1.1.1. Apple can’t possibly think they will hold the hackers off for more than a couple of weeks at max (my moneys on 1 week, post your 2cents below though). Also if you’re reading this Apple Australia, when YOU release the iPhone, we wouldn’t mind getting our own review copy *crosses fingers even though we’ve got no hope!*
One Response on 1.1.2 firmware coming, Apples evil again.
i find it stupid that people call apple evil, for plugging what are major security holes in the iphone (ie .tiff overflow allowing root access)..
& I’m equally sick of people who have no idea about the cracking process.. (ie/ accepting latest firmware updates blindly without thinking about how their previous crack will affect it, then whinging when things go wrong..)
Apple is a great company, whose been supplying me (as a designer) with wonderful (virus free) machines to work with. So cut them some slack..
& i’m sure it will only be a matter of weeks until 1.1.2 is cracked.. What now that so many euro hackers have better access to this great device!
